Tim Atkins was convicted of one count of murder and two counts of robbery based on false statements of a witness who claimed Tim confessed the crime to her and a bad identification procedure. Twenty-three years later, the alleged witness to the confession recanted her testimony in front of the original trial judge, and the identification made by a victim was shown to be false.
